Tulane University recently released its official 2025 State of the University video and accompanying article, created to “celebrate the faculty, staff, and students who are driving Tulane’s rise as a national leader in research, scholarship, innovation, and impact.”
I’m grateful that Rellestate — and my own work — were included as part of this year’s message.
The State of the University is an annual milestone for Tulane. It captures not only where the institution is headed, but the people and efforts contributing to that momentum. Being featured in this year’s video was a meaningful acknowledgment of that broader progress.

The State of the University Video
Tulane released the 2025 State of the University message through a full video and written feature on its website. We also shared a clip from that video on our Instagram page to highlight the moment and point viewers to the full release.
The Full Address and Article
For additional context, Tulane published the complete article and full video address on its website under the title:
“President Fitts Celebrates Tulane’s Unprecedented Momentum.”
That piece outlines the university’s recent achievements, long-term direction, and continued investment in research, academics, and community impact.

Why This Recognition Matters
The State of the University reflects collective progress — not individual accomplishments. Being included alongside faculty, staff, and students contributing across disciplines reinforces the idea that Tulane’s momentum is built through many different paths.
It’s encouraging to see alumni work acknowledged as part of that broader picture.
Appreciation
I appreciate Tulane University for including this work in the 2025 State of the University message and for continuing to highlight the people behind the progress.
