Tulane recently released the first-ever Tulane Letterwinner Association Newsletter, a new initiative designed to connect former Tulane student-athletes and highlight their professional paths after graduation. I was included in the inaugural edition.
The Letterwinner Association brings together Tulane alumni who earned varsity letters and remain engaged with the university through leadership, service, and professional work beyond athletics. The newsletter serves as a way to document those ongoing contributions and maintain connection across generations of former student-athletes.
Athletics as a Foundation, Not a Finish Line
My time at Tulane began as a student-athlete on the football team. Like many Letterwinners, that chapter provided structure, accountability, and exposure to high expectations early on.
The newsletter reflected on how that foundation translated into work beyond campus — in my case, entrepreneurship, community involvement, and construction projects across New Orleans through Rellestate Renovations. The focus was not on athletic performance itself, but on how those early experiences influenced professional direction.

Why the Inaugural Issue Matters
The first issue of the Letterwinner Association Newsletter sets the tone for how Tulane intends to engage this alumni group moving forward.
Rather than highlighting singular accomplishments, the newsletter emphasized progression — how former student-athletes build careers, contribute locally, and apply lessons learned through athletics in different fields.
Being included in the inaugural edition was meaningful in that context. It marked the beginning of a broader effort to document post-athletic paths across disciplines, industries, and communities.
Letterwinner Feature on Social Media
Alongside the newsletter, we also shared a post on our Instagram page acknowledging the feature and the launch of the Letterwinner Association Newsletter.
Continued Connection
The Letterwinner Association represents a long-term commitment to staying connected — not just during athletic careers, but throughout professional life.
I appreciate Tulane and the Letterwinner Association for creating this platform and for including my story as part of its first edition.
ROLL WAVE 🌊
